The Courses

York Wood Craft Courses

York Wood Crafts was formed in 2010 by Ben Chester and James Bower.

Our courses are designed to be accessible to everyone, so no previous experience is necessary. We will safely teach you the knowledge and practical skills needed. Even if you have never picked up a piece of wood before you will be able to take part and enjoy our courses.

The courses are held under simple woodsman's shelters in a small piece of woodland near Sessay, in the beautiful rolling countryside in the vale of York at the foothills of the north York moors.

Courses are held over the weekend, with three day courses running into Mondays. The courses start at 9am in the morning and run through to 5 or 6pm in the evening. Tea and coffee is available all day and we provide a simple but hearty lunch. All tools and materials are provided for the courses.

Spread throughout the year 2018's courses are;
